Toddler

In our toddler playroom we offer space for 15 children between the ages of 18 months and 2 ½ years of age. This age group would require 3 Early Childhood Educators. The environment is set up in such a way as to offer a safe, homelike atmosphere. The furniture, toys and materials are appropriate to this age group, and encourages the children to explore, participate with peers in social situations and interact with Educators in a co-learning environment. The children in this group especially enjoy their circle/music time, where they participate in singing songs and practice sharing, turn taking and language skills. There is a cozy house keeping area which includes babies, the children love taking care of dressing, undressing and putting babies to sleep. All programming happens inside this dedicated space except for going out to our beautiful natural play scape.

Preschool

In our preschool playrooms we offer space for 24 children between the ages of 2 ½ to 4 years of age. Within our 2 preschool play rooms we have 3 Early Childhood Educators working with the children and families. The environments encourage children to learn through their play, and promote self help skills. The toys and materials provided encourage exploration and inquiry. There are many loose parts available and accessible for the children to create, build, or tell stories with. Any and all programming can occur indoors as well as outdoors in our beautiful natural play scape.

JK/SK

In our kindergarten play room we offer space for 13 children between the ages of 4 and 5 years of age. Within the Kindergarten room there is 1 Early Childhood Educator learning along side this group of children. Our Kindergarten room is a newly dedicated space that allows the children to learn, grow and explore. Toys and materials allow the children to participate in activities of their choosing, materials are accessible and available to the children. Daily snacks offer opportunity for independence in pouring, serving and communicating with peers and educators. Daily physical outdoor play is enjoyed in our beautiful natural play scape.

School Age

In our school age group we offer space for 30 children between the ages of 6 – 12 years of age, with this age group we have 2 Early Childhood Educators. This group utilizes a classroom space within the school where the toys and materials are available and accessible to the children. This group also has the opportunity to use the school gymnasium for active, physical play, as well as our beautiful outdoor natural play scape.

During the summer months the children and educators plan and participate in many outings to such places as the Marina for picnics and play in the splash pad, they visit neighbourhood parks visit local pet stores and many other outings.
